TREATMENT BACKGROUND
There are several factors that overtime affect the appearance of your lips. These include age, sun damage and smoking. Lip augmentation is a treatment that allows us to help overcome these changes and bring back a more youthful look to your lips. Hyaluronic acid, a non-permanent lip filler, which our body produces naturally is what we use to inject and sculpt lips. The filler injections will increase volume and fullness. During your in-depth consultation the product and amount used will be discussed and decided on. We will base this on the results you would like to achieve combined with our professional knowledge and expertise.
DOES IT HURT?
Here at The MediClinic we offer dental block with all lip filler treatments. This numbs all layers of the lip for up to an hour and is much more effective that the more traditional numbing creams. The effects of the dental block mean no pain is felt during the treatment. Numbing cream is also offered as an alternative if preferred.
SIDE EFFECTS
Slight swelling post treatment is totally normal and will disappear within 2-3 days. A with all treatments we provide an aftercare pack which contains further information about your treatment and what to subsequently expect and look out for.
